Home Friends of the Plano Public Library is a non-profit, membership organization dedicated to supporting Plano libraries. Its mission is to serve as an advocate in developing, maintaining, and improving public library resources, services, and facilities for all patrons. Friends also support PPLS through fundraising activities and events. Members promote Plano libraries and volunteers donate hundreds of hours working behind the scenes to host a variety of programs including the Annual Friends Book Sale. Funds raised are reinvested in the libraries. The Friends donated more than $70,000 to the Plano Public Library System last year.
