Home FRIENDS OF PLANO PUBLIC LIBRARY Friends of the Plano Public Library is a non-profit, membership organization dedicated to supporting Plano libraries. Its mission is to serve as an advocate in developing, maintaining, and improving public library resources, services, and facilities for all patrons. Friends also support PPLS through fundraising activities and events. Members promote Plano Libraries and donate many hours to host a variety of programs including the annual Friends Book Sale. Funds raised are reinvested in the libraries. Friends donated more than $150,000 to the Plano Public Library System (PPLS) in 2009.
