Membership
Friends has five levels of membership, ranging from $10-$100 per year. Benefits vary by level.
All levels receive:

• Monthly Plano Public Library System Calendar of Events
• Invitation to Annual Book Sale Preview Party

Membership contributions are tax deductible as allowed by law and can be paid by check or cash. Please make checks payable to Friends of the Plano Public Library.
Volunteer
Thank you to all our volunteers who made the 2007 book sale a resounding success!
Friends has many volunteer opportunities. You can contribute by:
• Sorting books for the Book Sale
• Working at the Friends Annual Book Sale
• Helping with special events
• Membership recruitment
• Newsletter/mailings
• Working on a committee
• Serving on the Friends board
• Volunteer wherever needed!
Just email our volunteer coordinator, indicating what job you’d like to do. Be sure to include your name, address, telephone number and email address. We’ll be in touch with you soon!
Donations
Books are meant to be read! Do you have books that are just collecting dust? What about those books you know you will never read again? And what about those movies you’ll never watch or CDs you’ll never listen to again? Friends of the Plano Library will take them!
Friends of the Plano Library are collecting books and other items for the 25th Annual Friends Book Sale to be held July 31, August 1 and 2, 2008 at the Plano Centre. Funds raised at the Book Sale are reinvested in the libraries and fund a variety of projects.
Your donations are needed and can include:
• All kinds of books, including paperbacks, and children’s books
• DVDs
• CDs
• Audiotapes
• Videotapes
• Records
• Magazines (These are not sold at the book sale, but are sold throughout the year in the lobbies of the Plano Libraries.)
Drop off your items at any Plano Public Library System (PPLS) library location and receive a tax receipt for your donation. For other information about PPLS libraries including library hours, visit www.planolibrary.org.
